wishlist

Day 2

In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your wish-list if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.

Ack. I'm no good at this. My feeble excuse at a list.

1. Expect. I think a key to writing again is knowing someone is there expecting and anticipating the next 'installment' or what have you.

2. Befriend. Babble with me.

3. Empower. I'm thinking... seeing other people talking about getting pod-whatevers of their stories. That sounds so me. When I was young I used to think reading for audiobooks would be the best job ever. So... do I have the technological wherewithal and competence to pod-whatever?

Though it's super great that you want to record your own fics (or other people's fics) or get your fics recorded, I'd say that the first step is to call the fanwork by the actual term: podfic.

Secondly, if you're looking into getting podficcers interested on checking your fics, you might want to have a blanket statement somewhere on your profile of all the platforms where you post and/or archive your fic.

There are several communities for aspiring podficcers out there. Good luck.
